Are all of your foods suitable for vegetarians and vegans?
Yes, all our foods are made from plant-based ingredients so suitable for everyone, including vegetarians and vegans. As well as being free from meat, egg and dairy, our foods are free too from lactose, casein, cholesterol, hydrogenated fats, artificial colours and GMOs.
Are your foods suitable for people on special diets?
Because they are free from animal ingredients, our foods are suitable for vegetarians and vegans as well as people who are intolerant to dairy, lactose and casein.
Are any of your products free from wheat, gluten and soya?
Yes, our Seed Roast is free from all of these.
Can your foods be eaten straight from the packet or do they need to be heated through first?
Most of our products are ready to eat and can therefore be eaten straight from the packet, apart from the frozen range and our Fish Style Steaks, Fish Style Fingers, Oregano & Basil Sausages, Gourmet Sage & Marjoram Style Sausages, Fish Style Cakes, Meat-free Meatloaf and Seed Roast – these all require cooking per the instructions on the packet before you eat them.
Are your products free from artificial colours and flavours?
Yes, all of our foods are free from artificial colours and flavours.
Which of your foods are halal?
All of our halal-certified products can be seen here: Halal Plant-Based Vegan Products.
Are your foods suitable for people with PKU?
The proteins in our products are derived mainly from wheat and soya, which both contain phenylalanine so are not suitable for people with PKU. However, VBites’ products which contain lower protein levels might be suitable, ie Cheezly in Hard Italian, White Cheddar and Red Cheddar Styles, Scampi Style Bites and Fish Style Steaks.
Are your foods free from lactose/casein?
Yes, all of our foods are free from lactose/casein.
Is the packaging you use recyclable?
Yes. Please rinse the packaging before recycling it. If you’re unsure which plastic items your local authority collects, please check their website.
Are VBites Foods nut-free?
Yes, all our foods are free from nuts and our manufacturing plant is a nut free site so there is no risk of cross-contamination.
Do all of your products contain soya?
All our foods contain soya apart from the Southern Fried ‘Chicken’ Style Burgers, Southern Fried ‘Chicken’ Style Pieces, Pork Style Pieces, Beanfeast Pâté, Fish Style Steaks, Fish Free Scampi, Falafel and Soya-Free Cheezly. These are, however, all produced on a site where soya is present, so cannot be certified soya-free.
Are any of your products free from wheat/gluten?
The foods listed below are made without wheat/gluten. Because they are made on a site where gluten is present, however, they cannot be certified wheat/gluten free.
Can your products be frozen?
What is your position on palm oil?
We try, wherever possible, to restrict the amount of palm oil we use and we only buy palm oil from reputable, sustainable sources, working closely with suppliers to make sure that our principles are upheld at all times.
In the long term, we are committed to removing palm oil from all of our foods and are working actively towards this goal.
Are your foods kosher?

Which of your kosher foods are pareve?
All of our Kosher-certified products are pareve, and they can be seen here: Kosher Plant-Based Vegan Products.
Are all of your foods produced on an animal-free site?
Yes, we are a 100% vegan company, so there is no risk of cross-contamination.
How many different products do you make?
We currently produce over 100 different foods. All are 100% vegan and free from any animal ingredients.
Are your foods approved by the Vegan Society and the Vegetarian Society?
Yes, all of our foods are approved by The Vegetarian Society and The Vegan Society and carry their trademarks.
How will my order be shipped?
We send online orders out by courier. Goods are shipped in insulated boxes containing ice packs to ensure that they arrive chilled. You can then freeze the food at home.
What days do you deliver?
Our standard deliveries are on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We can also deliver on a Saturday for an additional charge of £10.00. Deliveries cannot be made on Sunday and Monday.
Do you deliver to the whole of the UK?
We deliver to most of the UK mainland. The only postcodes not covered by our couriers are: Scottish Islands: HS1-9, IV40-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3 Scottish Highlands – AB36-38, AB55-56, FK17-21, IV1-39, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-40, PH19-26, PH30-41, PH49-50 If you live in one of these postcode areas and would still like our foods delivered to you, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will look into alternative arrangements. Please note delivery to these postcode areas may take from two to five days but if you contact us with your specific address, we will be able to provide you with a definitive timeframe.
Do I need to sign for my delivery?
Once you have placed your order, our courier will either text or email you, depending on what contact details you have provided. The first message will be to tell you they have your parcel, the second will be to say it is with the local depot, the third will provide an hour delivery slot time, and the fourth will confirm delivery has been made. This means you have control over where you want the parcel delivered, can change the address if necessary, or can instruct the courier to leave the parcel in a safe location if you are out.
How do I cancel or amend an online order?
To cancel or amend an online order, please contact our office on +44 (0)1536 400557 before 12pm on the planned day of dispatch. After this time, once we have shipped your order, it is no longer possible to amend or cancel it.
How do I register for online shopping?
You can start adding products to your shopping cart as soon as you arrive on our site. Before you check out, you will need to either register or log in. If you require any assistance, please contact us on +44 (0)1536 400 557 or on email@example.com.
How long will my food stay fresh in the fridge?
Usually about four weeks from date of purchase – please check the ‘best before’ date on the packaging.
How much does delivery cost?
For orders of £100 or more, delivery is free. For orders of £50 – £99.99 the cost is £3 and for £0 – £49.99 the delivery charge is £5.75.
Do you offer next-day delivery?
We offer a next day service on all orders within the UK mainland except for certain postcodes in the Scottish Islands and Highlands – see question above. To ensure next day delivery, orders must be placed before 8am.
Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?
No, but our Irish distributor, Pallas Foods, may be able to help. You’ll find their contact details at www.pallasfoods.com.
Do you offer same-day delivery?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer same day delivery.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all card payments. You can also pay in advance by posting a cheque to us with your mail order form.
Will my food arrive frozen?
Once frozen, how long will my food last for?
Our foods can be kept frozen for up to three months from the date of delivery.
Do you offer discounts?
We give a 15% discount to members of the public who call into our factory shop in Corby, Northamptonshire. The shop is open Mon-Thurs 9am-4.30pm and Fri 9am-3pm. You can also ring ahead with your order so that we can make sure it is ready for collection when you arrive. You’ll find us at Redwood House, 60 Burkitt Road, Corby, Northants, NN17 4DT.
